The Biofuel Research Team (BRT) based in the Agricultural Biotechnology Research Institute of Iran (ABRII), Karaj consists of world-class scholars, scientists and researchers affiliated with different universities, research institutes and companies. BRT undertakes research in core areas of biomass utilization, specifically in production of renewable and valuable green energies. The Team interests include production of Biodiesel, Bioethanol, Biogas and Bionbutanol. Various potential biomass such as waste vegetable oil (WVO), lignocellulosic wastes and so on have been being studied.
