<p>The <i>Journal of Innovation and Entrepreneurship</i> is a peer-reviewed open access journal published under the brand SpringerOpen. </p><p>It presents current academic research and practical findings, investigating why some regions grow as others stagnate, and measuring effects and implications in the context of historical evolution and geographical location. Coverage includes innovation and entrepreneurship in such emerging markets as China, India, Russia and Latin America. The <i>Journal </i>addresses questions driving policy and decision-making at the company, industry, national and regional levels: How does progress occur? What processes and institutions are involved? How are new businesses created? What cultural traits foster or impede innovation? How is wealth distributed or concentrated? My photography began as an offshoot of my greater passion - birding.  It has since evolved to encompass all of Nature.  All of the animals and plants shown here are wild, unless otherwise noted.  Please note, new photos are placed at the beginning of each gallery. I am originally from Pennsylvania, USA, but immigrated to Canada in 2006.  I lived in Ottawa, Ontario for six years.  I currently reside in Gwangju, South Korea, with my wife Melanie.  We are both middle school English teachers in South Korea. For those interested, the majority of photos here were taken with my Sony Alpha A100 with a 75-300mm f5.6.  I recently upgraded to a Canon 7D, 100-400mm f4.5/5.6, which will be my primary set up from now on.

The camera has always been my paintbrush for placing a personal touch on the beauty around me, whether nature, architecture, or people. I enjoy the creative process of photography from beginning to end: the fulfillment of capturing an inspiring moment, and expressing it onto my finished work. My art has been described as imaginative and thought provoking. I've been honored with awards from publications and organizations, making me feel I've inspired people to see the world through my eyes. Photographic art gives me a reason to explore new places, and meet new people, including others who share my passion. You'll rarely see me exploring the world without my camera. A photo can capture and express emotion from a single instant, and make it last a lifetime.
