OVERLAND PARK, KS. (Feb. 22, 2017) – 21 teams where crowned as National Champions at the 2017 U.S. Youth Futsal National Championships. The tournament was held February 17 - 20, 2017 at the New Century Fieldhouse and Roeland Park Sports Dome. 147 highly competitive teams faught for the national titles but there could only be one champion in each of the 21 divisions. The ages range from U9 - U19 (Boys and Girls).Over 19 States and 2 Countres represented. Teams from the Great Lakes and the Midwest Region were the big winners.Each year, the level of competition has been getting stronger. Better footskils, better ball movement and more excitement. We are seeing more Futsal Academy teams as well.The tournament which is in it's 11th year is the largest National Youth Futsal Tournament affiliated with US Soccer. The tournament was officiated by 70 US Soccer Futsal Certified Referees. The referees are under the leadership of Ed Marco, who serves as the FIFA Futsal Instructor and U.S. Youth Futsal Referee Coordinator and Trainer. In addition to Marco, FIFA Futsal Referees Shane Butler, Lance VanHaitsma and Sergio Cabrera were also present.Congratulations to all the Winners and Finalist. Columbus Crew SC proudly presents the Crew SC 3v3 with finals hosted in MAPFRE Stadium. This event gives coaches and players the opportunity to have special VIP access to the field! This is one of the first youth events to ever be held on the MAPFRE Stadium Field, come be a part of history! Date: June 24, 2017Age Groups: U6 (2012s) through Adult.Cost: $225 Teams are guaranteed 4 games. 5 Players per team. Each player received a ticket to the Crew SC vs. Montreal match on June 24th Additional tickets can be purchased at a discounted rate Round-Robin and Semi-Finals will be played at the Hilliard Soccer Complex on Saturday Championship games will be played in MAPFRE Stadium on Sunday Player and mascot appearances in the concourse throughout the event Concessions and merchandise will be available on the plaza Champions will advance to the 3v3 Soccer Championships at Walt Disney World Tickets: Tickets will be either left at will call or mailed to primary contact before the event (five tickets are included in the event registrations).
