The Rocklin Teachers Professional Association (RTPA) is the professional organization for the certificated personnel of the Rocklin Unified School District. Our association represents a wide range of certificated personnel, who are not in a supervisory/management position such as classroom teachers, speech & language pathologists, librarians, elementary P.E. and VAPA teachers, psychologists, counselors, adaptive physical education teachers, English language development teachers, and elementary music teachers. Our total membership is approximately 600+ full and part-time professionals. We are a charter of the California Teachers Association (CTA)/National Education Association (NEA). Our association is led by a four member Executive Board who are elected by the membership and a site Representative Council of 30 members. The Executive Board and Site Rep Council meet monthly during the school year. THESE MEETINGS ARE OPEN TO ALL MEMBERSHIP. The meetings are run with an agenda, if any member would like to speak at the meeting, please contact the president to be put on the agenda. The main purpose of our association is to support our membership as employees of the Rocklin Unified School District . In addition, we support public education at the state and national levels. RTPA believes that all students should have their education delivered to them by trained professionals who work in a clean and safe environment. We ARE the public schools.
