The Rocklin Teachers Professional Association (RTPA) is the professional organization for the certificated personnel of the Rocklin Unified School District. Our association represents a wide range of certificated personnel, who are not in a supervisory/management position such as classroom teachers, speech & language pathologists, librarians, elementary P.E. and VAPA teachers, psychologists, counselors, adaptive physical education teachers, English language development teachers, and elementary music teachers. Our total membership is approximately 600+ full and part-time professionals. We are a charter of the California Teachers Association (CTA)/National Education Association (NEA). Our association is led by a four member Executive Board who are elected by the membership and a site Representative Council of 30 members. The Executive Board and Site Rep Council meet monthly during the school year. THESE MEETINGS ARE OPEN TO ALL MEMBERSHIP. The meetings are run with an agenda, if any member would like to speak at the meeting, please contact the president to be put on the agenda. The main purpose of our association is to support our membership as employees of the Rocklin Unified School District . In addition, we support public education at the state and national levels. RTPA believes that all students should have their education delivered to them by trained professionals who work in a clean and safe environment. We ARE the public schools. We SUPPORT public education. RTPA is proud of the exceptional job that we do for the students of RUSD.

More than 76% of the graduates continue their education in a two or four-year colleges.<br>Class sizes average approximately 18 students at the elementary level, 15 at the middle school level, and 17 at the high school level.<br>More than 200 educators including classroom teachers, guidance counselors, special education teachers, librarians, and other specialists provide the best possible education for each child. Nearly 50 percent of the certificated staff have earned master's degrees and the average Bristol Virginia teacher has more than 16.8 years of classroom experience.
