The Representative of German Industry and Trade (RGIT) is the liaison office of the Association of German Chambers of Commerce and Industry (DIHK) and the Federation of German Industries (BDI) in Washington, DC. It is supported by Germany’s Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology. RGIT represents the interests of the German business community vis-à-vis the U.S. Administration, the Congress and international organizations based in Washington. We report regularly on economically significant developments as well as legislative activities in the U.S. The liaison office maintains registrations under both the Foreign Agents Registration Act and the Lobby Disclosure Act.
