A Better Way Farm and Goat Dairy

Door County Creamery is a goat dairy farm and creamery located in Sister Bay, in beautiful Door County, Wisconsin. We began handcrafting cheese on the goat farm in 2010, and in July 2013 our dream became a reality with the opening of the Door County Creamery, a cheese-making facility, retail store to sell our cheeses and goat’s milk gelato and deli eatery to join it all together. Our tag line is our mission: love local cheese. We wanted to give the Door County community the opportunity to fall in love with fresh, local cheeses, just as we had on a farmstead in France five years ago. Which is how it all began... The creamery resides one mile from the farm, which allows us to source the freshest possible milk for our cheeses. Our beloved goats roam freely in the pasture, you will meet them if you decide to join one of our guided lunch tours. By focusing on creating fresh chèvre in a variety of authentic flavors, we hope to make goat cheese lovers out of everyone. In addition to goat cheeses, we make cow’s milk cheese, sourced from a local dairy farmers in Bailey’s Harbor, WI, and fresh goat’s milk gelato, made daily (and at times, more than daily!) As the season progresses we introduce more aged cheeses from our aging cellar. Blackboard menus in the creamery feature seasonal and signature artisan sandwich offerings as well as charcuterie & cheese boards, fresh salads and baked breads. Our handmade goat milk soaps are made with ORGANIC oils, essential oils and natural fragrances. Creating a perfect ph skin cleanser that nourishes and moisturizes.
