Halverwege de Dorpsstraat bevindt zich het oudste pand van Vlieland. Het is kort na 1575 gebouwd. Hier is sinds 1956 Museum Tromp's Huys gevestigd. Tromp's Huys was vanaf 1896 het woonhuis van het echtpaar Akersloot. De van origine Noorse Betzy Akersloot-Berg had een eigen atelier achterin de prachtige tuin met een vrij uitzicht over de Zuiderzee. Het museum heeft veel van haar schilderijen en schetsen in bezit.
