The Africa Financial Services Investment Conference, now in its fifth year, brings together listed, and other investable, African focused financial services companies with both debt and equity institutional investors, and other interested parties. The objective of the Africa Financial Services Investment Conference is to increase investment into Africa’s financial services sector by bringing listed, and unlisted financial services companies from across Africa together with debt and equity institutional investors, and other interested parties. The 2015 conference is likely to attract substantial numbers of companies as the event is rapidly becoming a key event for African financial service companies. Over 125 companies including including banks, insurance companies, micro-lenders, leasing companies etc. attended the 2014 event. These included representatives of the largest banks in Burkina Faso, Chad, Central African Republic, DRC, Egypt, Ghana, Kenya, Liberia, Libya, Malawi, Mauritius, Rwanda, Sao Tome, Sudan, Tanzania, Togo; Africa’s largest bank by number of branches; Africa’s largest insurance company; as well as many other banks, insurance companies, microfinance and other financial services companies. Many of Africa’s largest investors attended AFSIC 2014, including a wide range of major Africa focused funds that made presentations such as Actis, African Development Bank, Amethis Finance, CDC, Development Partners International, European Investment Bank, FMO, Frontier Markets Fund Managers, Helios, Leapfrog Investments, TLG Capital, T Rowe Price and the World Bank. The event comprised of two core events happening over 2 days: Speakers: Parallel streams of speakers, comprising a stream of Listed Financial Services Company presentations, a second stream of Private Company presentations, and a final stream of presentations from Investors. One on One Meetings: A number of meeting spaces can be booked by attendees.
