Websites using soundscape map as a keyword

This website was developed by Weblandia as Koka Nikoladze's homepage. Its front page is an interactive map of sounds, where anyone can upload original sound clips. If you have a recording device, decent microphone and some editor software, just prepare short sound clips and then upload them by using the upload button in the lower left corner. You can place them on the map one-by-one when uploading them. You can also record sound directly in the browser by using the record button in the lower left corner. Then you must select some section of recording, which you would like to place on the map and drag it onto the soundscape.

The Favourite Sounds site links sounds to the cartographic and satellite images of the Google map. Many are personal choices of people in London, Prague, Beijing, Birmingham etc...., sonic representations of their own city. Others capture the amazing diversity of today's global soundscape, from Lake Baikal ice to Old Jerusalem souks.
