The Out-of-Door Academy is a Pre-K through 12 independent, college preparatory school in Sarasota, Florida. We provide an environment in which students strive to achieve their highest academic goals and to build character through a balanced program of academics, the arts, and athletics.

Loredana Nesci received her undergraduate degree from the University of Connecticut in Storrs. She moved to California where she began her legal career as a Los Angeles police officer in 1996. She was the Vice President of her class in the Police Academy. As an officer, she patrolled the Southwest District. Out of the many hair-raising experiences she had as a police officer, her most memorable was the North Hollywood shoot out. She and her partner were at the bank, opened the door for the hostages, assisted FBI agents and guarded the big bags of money that was almost stolen.
