Afghan Child Education and Care Organization (AFCECO) is an Afghan non-profit organization founded by Andeisha Farid, an Afghan native whose dream was to come up with an innovative way to help vulnerable Afghan children. This noble mission began in 2003 when she established a safe house for 20 street children who couldn’t afford going to school. This small shelter soon turned into a well-established orphanage when AFCECO started a sponsorship program that allowed individuals from around the world to go online and sponsor Afghan children. As a result one orphanage opened after another and expanded to 12 orphanages , caring for over 700 children.
