Urban Assembly Maker Academy is a new public school launched in September 2014 in New York City. The school exists to create problem solvers and design thinkers who will be equipped to be successful digital citizens. They will learn skills to think, problem solve, and collaborate to design solutions for challenges of many walks of life. The school is using mastery based learning, standards based grading, and asynchronous, blended, online learning to support their curriculum.
