Center for Investigative Reporting in Pakistan | CIRP

I am a rising senior at Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism, pursuing a major in journalism and minor in Spanish. I am interested in writing about culture, criminal justice, women’s issues, politics and more. I am especially interested in feature writing for both digital and print platforms. Every time I read stories such as this profile of Lorde, I get the chills. I am currently working as an editorial assistant at New York magazine’s The Cut. This past summer, I traversed Chicago as a metro reporting intern for the Chicago Sun-Times. On the side, I copy-edited technological help articles and developed a social media plan for Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management’s technology department. This past year, I investigated a 1975 murder case as part of an investigative class supported by the Medill Justice Project, an award-winning national investigative journalism center. I spent the first half of the year studying Spanish at the Consortium for Advanced Studies Abroad in Barcelona. During my sophomore year, I managed The Daily’s Arts and Entertainment section for five months, covering everything from New York Fashion Week to “Fiddler on the Roof.” I am a proud Chicago-native.
