Metropolitan Stock Exchange of India Ltd. Limited (MSEI), India’s new stock exchange, is recognised by Securities & Exchange Board of India under Section 4 of Securities Contracts (Regulation) Act, 1956. The Exchange was granted the status of a “recognized stock exchange” by the Govt of India on December 19, 2012. In line with global best practices and regulatory requirements, clearing and settlement of trades is conducted through a separate clearing corporation — MSEI Clearing Corporation Ltd. (MSEI CCL).
