Hello friends, My name is Dylan Heuer. I recently graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, New York. I majored in Visual Media, which is a combination of Photography and Graphic Design. I did an internship with the Rochester Red Wings as the team's photographer for the past two seasons. I've worked with the Iowa Cubs for three summers as a graphic designer and photographer before I joined the Red Wings. I also work for the RIT's Sports Information, shooting various sports around campus, including the RIT Men Hockey's team that made to the Frozen Four in Detroit, Michigan in 2010. My photography began as an offshoot of my greater passion - birding.  It has since evolved to encompass all of Nature.  All of the animals and plants shown here are wild, unless otherwise noted.  Please note, new photos are placed at the beginning of each gallery. I am originally from Pennsylvania, USA, but immigrated to Canada in 2006.  I lived in Ottawa, Ontario for six years.  I currently reside in Gwangju, South Korea, with my wife Melanie.  We are both middle school English teachers in South Korea. For those interested, the majority of photos here were taken with my Sony Alpha A100 with a 75-300mm f5.6.  I recently upgraded to a Canon 7D, 100-400mm f4.5/5.6, which will be my primary set up from now on.

I am passionate about photography, wildlife and love the great outdoors! Visits to Africa over the last few years have provided me with some wonderful experiences and the opportunity to capture many different subjects to those found in Europe. In fact my first trip to Africa back in 2005 was where my interest in photography started that went on to change my life in so many ways.
