Aleksandra Zee creates three-dimensional objects from found and re-purposed materials and situates them in site specific installations. Ranging in scale from small interventions to whole room distortions, she strives to transform the viewer’s perception of the space. Zee is interested in the transcendence of the harsh, broken, or discarded materials into objects of soft whimsy. In much the same way, Zee wants the viewer to pause and lose themselves in the altered environment.

Bill Thompson is a sound artist and composer whose work has been performed extensively throughout the UK and abroad.A native of Texas, he relocated to the UK in 2004 to pursue a PhD in Composition. Since then he has received numerous awards and commissions including the PRS for New Music ATOM award, the GAVAA visual arts award, a PRS for New Music Three Festival commission, the 2010 Aberdeen Visual Arts Award, and was nominated for the Paul Hamlyn Award in 2012.As an artist, he has a particular interest in perception and embodied presence. His installations and performances frequently utilize found objects, field recordings, repurposed live electronics, and digital media to create environments that encourage active attention to each moment. He applies this same strategy within his compositional work which often include long sustained tones, densely layered textures, and indeterminate or improvised structures. He has written for a range of instruments including voice, guitar, contrabass, bagpipe, percussion, organ, string quartet, mixed ensembles and live electronics. As a solo performer he works primarily with live electronics although originally trained as a guitarist.In addition to working as a solo artist, Thompson has collaborated with choreographer Ian Spink for several years in their company Airfield. Their work together blurs the distinctions between dance, theatre, music and installation. Additionally, he has worked with several other well-known artists including Keith Rowe, Faust, EXAUDI and others.He is also an avid supporter of new music and is the director of the Burning Harpsichord Series, a concert programme devoted to high calibre experimental music. He also co-directs the multidisciplinary artist workshop fast+Dirty with Ian Spink, lectures at the University of Surrey and teaches collaborative arts practice at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.Artist Statement

ArandaLasch is a design studio dedicated to experimental research and building. Established by Benjamin Aranda and Chris Lasch, the studio designs installations, objects and buildings through a deep investigation of materials and structure. Winners of the United States Artists Award and Young Architects Award, their early architectural projects are the subject of the book, Pamphlet Architecture #27: Tooling. Their work has been exhibited in galleries and museums including the MoMA, MAD, Venice Biennale, Design Miami/ and TBA-21. ArandaLasch develop experimental furniture products through the Johnson Trading Gallery in New York. They are currently working on retail and civic developments in Miami, Florida and Libreville, Gabon.

Mariano Sardón studied physics at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) and art at the Akademie für Bildende Kunst Salzburg, Austria. His artworks concern paintings, objects, installations, video-installations and interactive installations.He is also working at the intersection of art and neuroscience. He made exhibitions in different galleries, cultural centers and museums.He is professor and chair of the Electronic Art Degree at the Universidad Nacional de Tres de Febrero.

Zim&Zou are two french artists, based in Nancy. The duo is composed of Lucie THOMAS, born in the Vosges in 1987, and Thibault ZIMMERMANN, born in Paris in 1986. They studied graphic design (design, publishing, advertising) during three years. The duo decided to focus on installations using handcrafted objects made out of tangible materials such as paper, wood, thread, etc... rolling away from computer design. Anchored in craftsmanship, they create all the elements composing their installations by hand, from drawing to cutting and assembling. Their favorite material is the paper they’re cutting, folding and assembling to give rise to intricate and colorful sculptures. Paper inspires them for its versatility, infinite range of colors and unique textures. The flat paper sheets turned into volume are giving an installation the poetry of ephemeral material.
