Websites using still like & portraits as a keyword

There are many subjects that are interesting and worth exploring as a painter... landscapes, portraits, still life and abstractions... they, like any subject offer endless varieties of ways to put them to canvas, and they are. Then there is the subject that one day speaks to you alone, in a language that seems was made just for you to understand just enough, to make you want to learn more. A subject that seems to fit all your expressive wants and needs. That is how it felt when I first laid my eyes and opened my mind to layers of beauty, the peace and serenity and the vast potential of the koi pond.

Until 2013 I had mainly used a Canon EOS 7D with a range of lenses including the EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM, EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM and the EF 50mm f/1.4 USM. The acquisition in 2013 of a Fujifilm X100S totally changed my view on small cameras and photography … at the moment it’s all I use for 99% of the time. My first main project was 365 Days of Self Portraits. Each portrait was done on consecutive days and posted the same day to my Flickr account. Since then I’ve done a 52 Weeks of self portraits project which has now been finished and published on 365 Self Portraits … A second and third set of 52 Weeks were completed in 2011 and 2012. I have since produced a Black & White Still Life project (2013) and in 2014 portraits of my wife Jan produced with the Fujifilm X100S camera.
